- Grab bottom-touch protectionA force sensor on the grab hanger and pressure feedback lift the boom before the grab strikes a wagon floor or ship hold.
- Hose-burst valvesExplosion-proof valves on the boom and stick cylinders stop the arms dropping if a hose bursts.
- Protected cabTempered glass with a guard grille; a balance valve on the cab-lift cylinder stops the cab dropping if a hose fails.
- Safe access and slewingGuardrails and ladders on the upper platform, with a beacon and buzzer while the machine slews.
