Scrap Recycling
Sorting, loading and feeding scrap with orange-peel grabs and magnets, and a raised cab for a clear view into every pile.
What the machine
has to handle
Scrap yards load trucks, sort material and feed shredders or shears through the whole day. Grab choice, chassis and power decide how efficiently the work flows.
Typical challenges
- Loading trucks and sorting steel throughout the day
- Feeding shredders or shears at a fixed point
- Mixed shapes and sizes of scrap
- Moving between piles and work points

Which chassis
fits your site
The chassis follows the layout of your site; reach, power and grab follow the material and output.

From arrival
to loading out
- UnloadingIncoming scrap is unloaded from trucks, wagons or barges.
- Sorting & stackingScrap is sorted by grade and stacked in the yard.
- Feeding & loading outShredders and shears are fed, and trucks are loaded out.

Questions about
scrap recycling
Send us your working conditions and we will answer for your site.
Should a scrap yard choose a wheeled or a crawler material handler?
Wheeled handlers move quickly between piles on firm, paved yards. Crawler handlers suit soft or uneven ground and heavier duty. A stationary handler suits a fixed feeding point. Compare reach, grab capacity, power and the weight of the material you lift.
Orange-peel grab or magnet for scrap?
An orange-peel grab handles mixed scrap of different shapes. An electromagnetic chuck is efficient for ferrous scrap and can release material with a single action. Many yards use both.
What matters when feeding a shredder or shear?
Reach to the feed opening, a clear view from the cab, a grab that suits the scrap mix, and power for continuous work. A stationary or elevated machine is often used at fixed feeding points.
